Thailand Week 46: Lopburi

Alohaaa

Whew.😰

We had an amazing past week and we are hoping for a better one this week. 🙋

This past week, we did a lot of reaching out to others. We were literally scramming everywhere to get new investigators by referrals, service, and contacting. It was SUPER FUN. 😄 It reignites that feeling of joy and determination as I get to live the gospel by being a missionary. It strengthen my personal testimony that real joy and happiness comes when we turn outwards and not inwards, just as our Savior Jesus Christ did.

Here is a quick update with brother Somchay! He will be moving to Bangkok in a couple weeks😯  But will be a faithful member by attending church there. 🤗 Haha. I am so amazed at how much faith he has. His faith has grown so much! He was able to overcome many personal concerns and challenges through his great desire to come unto Christ. 😂 I love him. He's awesome.

I am thankful for this opportunity to be a missionary here in Thailand. I am thankful for the knowledge and testimony that I have and able with others around me. I am thankful for the companionship of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost does indeed guides me and comforts me. I am thankful for this Gospel and the great eternal teachings that it has for our dear families. I am grateful to share my personal testimony that I know that Jesus is my Savior and my God. He has redeemed me from sorrow and pain each time that I have turned to Him. I know that I am child of God, and we are everything to Him. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I love you all!

Transfer #7/Thailand Week 45: Lopburi

Happy New Year!

Everyone is partying hard!!! ... and here I am... tired. 😰

Good News! I'm still in Lopburi with my ลูก Elder Larson. We will be staying together for another good transfer. 🤗 Better yet, this year is going to be an amazing one.

This week, the topic of Faith came up pretty often. It's amazing to see the member's great desire to help the Lopburi ward grow. We will do our part in assisting the members into achieving their great desire. I'm excited!!! 🙋

Anywho... here's a small passage from the PMG about faith.
"Faith in Christ leads to action. It leads to sincere and lasting repentance. Having faith causes us to try as hard as we can to learn about and become more like our Savior. We want to learn what His commandments are and then obey them. Even though we will still make mistakes, we show our love for Him by striving to keep His commandments and avoid sin."

I just want to share a bit about being obedient. After being out here in the mission for a while, my testimony of how obedience has a major part in our missionary work has grown. If we are obedient, people around us will see us as missionaries and disciples of the Lords. We would be able to inspire everyone to build their personal relationship with our Loving Heavenly Father and we would do our part into introducing how we can do that. However, if we slip in being obedient... they won't be able to feel the presence of the Holy Ghost. They won't be able have that great interest to know who God is and how He can bless us, rather they would have a greater interest in us as foreigners. People will see us as friends, but unless we do our part in being obedient, they will not have interest in the gospel. All in all, we all should LIVE the gospel by being obedient. 😄

"Exact obedience bring blessings, but more than that... your obedience shows how much you love God... " :)

I know that God is our loving Heavenly Father. I know that He understands who I personally am and what I am going through. I know that He that loves me more that I can possibly comprehend. I know that His Son, Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer, and that through Him... I can do all things.
In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

LOVE YOU ALL! HAPPY NEW YEAR!

- Elder Santeco

This is the week!!! Christmas baby!!! I am so excited. I get to spend my lovely Christmas in the beautiful town of Lopburi<3. Who knows? I may even spend my Christmas evening with my monkey friends! I think the fact that there are many people around the world celebrating this wonderful day, in remembrance that our Savior Jesus Christ is the Gift, makes it a million time more special to me. :)

This past week was amazing. Miracles<3 We are making things happen, not just on our own... but with the hand of our Savior Jesus Christ. My heart is full of gratitude and peace being given the opportunity to grow in the church and the gospel, to born of goodly parents, and not being the only weird child in my family. I am at awe knowing that I came to this earth so to gain experience and experience real joy.

We are hoping to see more baptism this upcoming week! Christmas baptisms! What's better than that?! That would the best gift ever! Haha. Seeing other act on their faith, and trust in God. :)

Thailand Week 42: Lopburi

LIFE <3

I am just so happy. Seriously, life is just amazing. I LOVE IT.

Being out in Thailand as a missionary has blessed my life more than I have ever thought. Over these past few weeks, I feel like my capacity to love has grown to a point where regardless what happens... I always feel happy. It's amazing. It has opened my eyes to the blessings that God has given me and of His love for each of us. In addition to that, everything that I have been doing as a mission now has a greater meaning to me... because I am serving and reaching out to others out of my own ability to love. I am sincerely grateful that my personal testimony of my Jesus Christ has grown. He is my Savior and my Redeemer. He is the one that truly understands me for who I am. Same goes for you.

I love Christmas!!! Let us remember that He is the gift. He is the God of Miracles and of all things. He has the ability to provide hope, peace, and joy to all those that choose to follow Him. :)

"And I said unto him: I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things." - 1 Nephi 11:17

I do not know everything. But I do know that He loves us. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Did I mention... That I love life? 555+

- Elder San🙆teco🌮

BONUS Commitment: Count your blessings. Write them down daily in your personal journal and then when Christmas comes around, read your list. <3 ... 🤗

Let your hearts be filled with JOY AND LOVE! :)

Thailand Week 41: Lopburi

LIFE IS GREAT.

I AM SOOOO EXCITED!!! I loveeee Christmas. 😍 Whoohoo!!!

Ever since I came into the mission field, I had the opportunity to help others and myself included to come unto Christ through scripture studies, prayer, and service. This is missionary work. It's changing me. I feel God's hand in my life. He is shaping and molding me to what He wants me to be. Honestly, it is such a blessing to actually have a real testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ. My mission has helped me gain a greater appreciation for our Lord and Redeemer. He is the gift. :)

This past week wasn't the most exciting. It consisted a lot of organizing and cleaning our phones, RC/LA/Member books and so on. :) Oh and mom! I also got the chance to clean up some mission stuff on Excel via One drive. It took a while for me to know how to work with Excel, but I eventually got it! Haha. When I do come home, I think I'll go ahead and take an Excel class. Haha. I love it.

Missionary work is great. We are teaching, inviting, serving, and doing all that we can! Let's hope to get some baptisms soon! :)

Other than that. We had a Switch-off with ZL and Zone Conference (Christmas Devotional) this past Monday. Elder Larson was Santa Clause. Hahah. He is awesome.

This week will be a fantastic week! :)

HEY HEY HEY! I've been out for 10 months. 😵 It's seriously crazy how fast time passes by. It feels like being on a roller coaster that just never seems to slow down. It's hard work. But I LOVE IT.

I LOVE LIFE. I LOVE THE GOSPEL. I LOVE YOU!

- Elder Santeco 🙆

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!!!

Sadly I took no pictures..

These are Elder Xiayavong's pics.

 That's my ลูก!!! Elder Larson!!! HoHoHOOOO!!! 🎅
Here are Elder Larson's pics. :D

I like this pic. Just me being in the background satisfies me. Hehe.

Service is fun. :)

This is the Tim Tam Slam. (1/3 of the whole process)

The whole process is called The TBM challenge which consists of 1 Pizza Company Large Pizza, an Earthquake from Swensons (8 scoops of Icecream) and a box of Tim Tams with milk. It's crazy. It is also very expensive. Haha. Yep. I'm not doing it.

Elder Larson tried the TBM. In the end, he had 3 Tim Tams left and just couldn't finish it. It was too much. He fought a hard battle. Haha.
